100% of your donation goes to help Baby Diedrich. Thank you!
Diedrich is going to have his (hopefully) last surgery tomorrow, he is having his intestines placed back inside and reattached so he will no longer need an colostomy bag. Please keep him in your prayers! Thanks! Baby Diedrich Leslie Turner was born on March 6th, 2010 at just 24 weeks. He was 4 months ahead of schedule. He weighed 1lb 5oz, and was less than 12 inches long. Already in his life he has battled unfavorable odds. He has had heart surgery, laser eye surgery, and endured 2 stomach surgeries. He has had perforations in his small intestines, which nearly cost him his life twice. He has on several occasions doubled his body weight in water and fluid due to infection and swelling. This has also caused enormous strain on his liver, nearly causing liver failure. He currently has been able to dodge travel to Seattle Childrens Hospital where he would receive medication at a cost of over $400.00 A DAY. Currently, he is stable, and doing quite well on a standard oxygen regime awaiting his 3rd, and hopefully final, stomach surgery. With his 4 month stay in Community Hospital, Diedrich's parents have exhausted all of their vacation, personal time, 401K, as well as Megan using most of her FMLA maternity leave to be with Diedrich during his struggles and growth in the hospital. Megan will need to take additional time off of work to be able to care for Diedrich once he is released from the hospital. Diedrich's father and mother both work full time in the Missoula community, Rick in wireless communication, and Megan for a local flooring company. They will be facing a trying and rewarding time taking care of baby Diedrich, and are asking for donations to help cover medical expenses incurred during Diedrich's extended hospital stay. They do have insurance, but with a bill topping $1,500,000.00 there will still be a large amount due after the insurance is done paying. Anything you can do to assist this young couple and their Son would be greatly appreciated both in prayer and financial assistance.
Thank you ~ Megan, Rick, & Diedrich Turner
